WHAT SONGS WILL WE PLAY?

Stu  prepares a songbook of 20 or more popular tunes usually with a fun theme... mostly easy to play with simple chords and some with a few challenges.

WHO WILL LEAD THE SONGS?

Miss Amber and Stukulele will share the lead vocals on most of the songs and Stu will be lead uke. Most always we have a Rod Coe on Bass and guests  instrumentalists..then it's up to you

CAN I SUGGEST SONGS?

Yes you can, Stukulele is always open to requests... Click here

CAN I LEAD A SONG?

Yes. Solo performers or groups are encouraged to lead a song or two. If you'd like to add your songs to the monthly book click here and if there's time I will chart it up and format it for the screen.

DO I NEED A TUNER?

There aren't many things more unsettling than a room full of out of tune ukuleles, so unless you have perfect pitch, it is advised, though not mandatory. If you do have a tuner it's a good idea to check your tuning regularly.

DO I NEED TO BE ABLE TO PLAY WELL?

Nope... doesn't matter. This is an informal get together of ukulele enthusiasts. Although some tips and pointers may be shared, it is not a formal lesson. How well you play is up to you. The objective is fun... a community sing along. Whatever you do... don't feel self-conscious about your ability... just get amongst it and don't forget, you can always play the Z-chord.

The Z chord is the revered chord of the beginner uke player... To execute the chord use the fingers of your left hand (assuming you are strumming with your right) and deaden the strings by lightly placing them on the strings anywhere on the fret board. The result is you are using your Uke as a percussion instrument and everyone thinks you are a remarkably good player. Play the chords you can and 'Z' the rest.

CAN I BRING THE KIDS?

Yes. Kids of any age are welcome, especially to play along. For the consideration of your fellow patrons please handle any disruptive behavior if the need arises. Like all licensed premises, the bar area is off limits to young-uns.

IF I DON'T PLAY UKELELE DO I HAVE TO PAY?

Yes please. You are welcome to join in the singing or just watch, though you will still need to pay the entry fee. These get togethers are great community events and are entertaining for uke players, singers or onlookers. The objective is to bring people together for a strum and a sing, all for some quality connection time and good ol' fun.
